Trying this for a while

Well, I'm back! If anyone actually stumbles across this, I'd appreciate a comment just to know if anyone does read these or not.

Was thinking today that this may be the best way to stay in touch with my Indian friends from Portland State since most of the Community seems to be on Orkut these days. Not sure how integrated Blogger is to my Orkut page, but we'll try it out.

Last week was our annual India Country Focus Night at the FOCUS Coffee House. The highlight of the night was to see our grandson Lewis there in his punjabi (is that correct) shirt and pants. I have to tell you guys, that Lewis LOVES curry. Haven't seen him turn anything away even if its a bit spicy.

We had a great meal-- this year's ISA group did an outstanding job cooking-- biryani, tandoi-esque chicken, dal makani, potato-cauliflower curry, etc. Yum! It was great!

This year it was the guys-- mostly ISA officers doing the cooking. Does my heart good to see it, and I think it makes a guy much more marketable on the marriage market when the girls know they can cook. I did an informal survey and all the Indian women agreed!

Tonight I'll be at the International Open House at Hoffman Hall, PSU manning a FOCUS display. The event is sponsored by the Saudi Student Association. I'll try to grab some photos tonight.
